Developing and Implementing Quality Standards
Project management has become a necessary part of businesses on global scale. At the core of each successful project are talented project managers. Providing quality instructions that produces such talent is a focus of XYZ University. In order to accomplish this, it is necessary to have a quality management strategy in place. In order to ensure instructors that are hired align to this strategy, a list of quality standards will be developed. In addition, procedures to deal with any current instructors who do not meet these standards will be examined.

First and foremost, to ensure that students receive the level of instruction desired, potential candidates must have a Master’s degree along with a minimum of five years of verifiable experience in the field of project management. In addition to this, applicants must be able to provide a verifiable history of successful project completions. This will ensure that candidates have an extensive knowledge on the subject of project management, along with the real world application of that knowledge.
In addition, applying candidates must possess excellent speaking, presentation, writing, and communication skills along with experience with basic computer programs. These skills are necessary because of the classroom teaching environment, but also the increased level of online material that supplements classroom instruction. Lastly, desired qualifications include a PMP certification and prior teaching experience. While not required, these are desirable qualities that are desirable in any candidate.

This will enable to gather real world experience in the field in which they will be instructing. The same opportunities will be available to current instructors if they would like to strengthen their computing, speaking, presentation, writing, or other skills XYZ University feels would strengthen the quality of instruction and benefit the students. Finally, if any instructor is interested in completing their PMP exam, they will be offered assistance in attaining it. These policies should ensure the the University’s goals of providing the best possible instructions to enrolled students in the project management
