Almost forty years after the Israelites were sentenced to wander in the wilderness, Moses started telling the people what God had told him about them. Moses reminded the people of all of the events that had happened to them. He reminded them what God had promised, the sins that they committed against God, and the punishments that God had put upon them as a nation. He told them it was now time to enter into the Promised Land. Moses reminded the nation that they had to be obedient to God. He reminded them what happened in Baal Peor when they became involved with people who were not like them. He told them not to forget the things that they have seen or experienced. He told them they must tell the future generations

He also reminded them what had happened in the past, both the good and the bad. I believe Moses knew that this nation would not always stay as God’s favored nation, because every time the going got tough, they grumbled and complained and even went against what God told them to do. How is this significant today and in my life? I, and probably most Christians alive today are not unlike the Israelites. We know what God has promised us, and we know what we are supposed to do to get it. But we still continue to go against God. We still continue to grumble when we do not have the things we think we need. We are not always thankful for the things God has given us. We continue to sin. But I think the biggest trouble that Christian’s have today is that we do not share our history with our future generations. I know that personally only one of my nieces and nephews even really know who God is. It is not that their parents do not believe, it is that they do not always agree what they believe collectively and they are too busy to share what they do believe with their children. What this means for me is that I must try harder to share what I believe and why I believe it. I must look harder for a church home that shares my beliefs and invite the younger generation to see why God is well

The Bible tells us to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect, Matthew 5:48. On the other hand Romans 3:23 reminds us that man falls short of the glory of God. While only God is holy and separated from all evil, we as humans are created with a conscience which allows us to distinguish right from wrong. Additionally, we are given a set of commandments to guide us through our decisions. Although we cannot ever attain perfection, Jesus reminds us throughout scripture that as we seek to know God our flesh becomes one with His word.…

The Gospels of The New Oxford Annotated Bible aim to tell of the life of Jesus Christ. The authors build the narratives around the Father-Son relationship of God and Jesus because of how much of an impact God’s sacrifice has on Jesus’ ministry. “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life” (John 3:16). Throughout the book of John, Jesus repeatedly says that he is the Son of God, the Son of Man, and God. If Jesus is both the Son of God and God, then it follows that God himself is the Son of Man as well.…

Our flesh is weaker than our spirit man. This is why God wants to give us daily bread (the word) and the renewing our mind daily, to focus on him and not the cares of this world. We all have a purpose to fulfill. God has a plan for us all; some are to speak words and affirmation over his people to encourage them during their walk with Christ.…

Throughout the Bible, one of the identified themes is on valuing relationships. A demonstrable scenario of two individuals valuing their relationship was Moses and Jethro, his father-in-law. The Old Testament, Exodus 18: 13-27 outlined an account of the relationship: Moses was called to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt into the promise land. Having answered the call of God upon his life, he experienced some difficulties among the people.…

Hi Peeps, Today's Quote "It is important to talk about the stories that matter in your life so that your children's children may benefit from wisdom, with the limited amount of time we have left on this earth." ! Jon Barnes Of Old I now see why Bible stories, studies, prayer, and service is so important to learn and share, because they are needed in our daily lives thinking, working, negotiating, and practicing good deeds in our lives. Stop blaming the churches for your personal failure and lack of interest in God. Blame yourself and your pride for walking away from God, like Adam and Eve. Your excuses and explanations are merely lies of old.…

He wanted Israel to be sure of his power and to be able to look back on it generations from now. When the Israelites faced hard times, they would be able to look back and think about how they are standing with the God who delivered them out of Egypt (10:2). Wanting to bring the Israelites to himself can be further summarized when one knows that God does all things for good. Romans 8:28 states, “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”…
