Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a futuristic, first person shooter, rpg. This game is a sequel, but can stand alone due to a 13 minute recap of the previous installments. The main character Adam Jenson is almost completely machine. All augmented humans like him have become unwanted after the aug incident 2 years ago. They are segregated from normal humans and need a special identity card to even go in certain areas. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is worth buying because it is a fascinating game with plenty of replay ability. Everything done in the game is a choice and even forgetting to do one simple thing can change how the story plays out. Within the first 5 minutes, the game gives you a choice that can make a play through significantly different …show more content…
Adam Jenson loses all of his abilities due to an accident and finds out he had some abilities he didn’t even know about. His body can’t handle the new and old abilities which results in a system reset (Finnegan). It is now up to the player to customize Jenson’s abilities to fit their play style. The only problem is that the player can easily mess up. For an example, say that the player customized Jenson only with hacking abilities. Then the player starts sneaking around in the vents and hacking away to get to their destination and then suddenly, their path is blocked by an object too heavy for Jenson to move (Finnegan). If only the player had thought about customizing Jenson to make him stronger. Another aspect of this game is that it is jam packed with side quests. These are side events in the story that the player can do if they want to 100% the game or want to know a little more about the story. While these are completely optional, sometimes not doing side quests can actually affect the main story. While the game is enjoyable, it does have cons. The plot is often hard to follow which is something that often pulls people away from a game. Due to some side quests taking hours to complete, the player can often forget what was happening in the main

Bad Guys who are Good, Backstories, and Love Triangles: Things that Make a Good Story What makes a good story? All stories have the same elements; a plot, characters, a climax, a theme, but yet some make a reader want to put the book down after the first chapter and others keep the reader up at night trying to finish it. Certain aspects that are apart of stories will hook the reader and make it a good story. Elements like making a bad guy have the appeal of the good guy in the story, keeping the reader guessing, or putting a twist on the love story keeps a reader intrigued and makes a story into a good story. One aspect of a story that makes it good is when the reader is drawn to the bad guy or villain of the story.…

Set two years after the events of Human Revolution, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided sees Adam Jensen return to a series that will undoubtedly have moral compasses spinning into overdrive. Showcasing Jensen and his augmentations in full effect, every cinematic trailer or gameplay video for Human Revolution is looking very promising so far. As I sit here and watch these trailers, I can't help but be overcome by a strong sense of nostalgia, with my mind casting back to 2011, and the feelings I had playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution on PlayStation 3. Left for dead after a terrorist attack on his employer Sarif Industries, Jensen undergoes life-saving operations to replace parts of his body with futuristic technology, saving him from death's door. Equipped with his…

During the presentation I found out that all golf courses cost different amounts of money to play. This means that the really nice courses are very expensive to play.…

Mechanics: West of Loathing is a unique mix between a point and click adventure and a turn based action rpg. Though you do have the ability to walk around the game using W,A,S,D I would use point and click to walk around find objects. The developers have a bag type system that is pretty good. Every item can be shown to you in a long list or you can sort every item down to make it more manageable. It seems as though whenever you want to leave a scene you walk off screen to the left.…

It has good word choices and descriptive words, describes the scenes and the plots well, uses suspense to let the reader guess what will happen before it actually does, and if you have no clue what is going to happen it eventually gives the answers. On the down side, it does have a few weaknesses. Throughout the beginning of the book it is hard to understand the reasoning for Tally’s actions, but eventually, the questions are answered even it might have been longer than expected. Tally at times seems to have way to much going on, in addition to that readers can have trouble processing all the…
