There are many predictors for crime such as age, race, and class and so on. However, the best predictor is gender as there is a gender gap between men and women for committing crime. Even in policy reflect in the law, women are usually favored to receive lighter sentence for the same offence compared to males, rarely receive the death penalty and are often looked at in a more favored light by judges and juries. There are theories of why there is gap between the genders such as the socialization for the genders, having androcentric biases in crime theories, or the “power-control” theory. He killed three teenagers, injured three more teenagers and surrendered the same day of the shooting.
