Destroying Our Planet Earth In our daily routine, we as Americans neglect the different recourses we use every day throughout our average lives. We overlook a number of natural recourses we take for granted on a daily basis. One of the most significant objects Americans rely on is the automobile and in return for a ride from point A to point B your car requires gasoline. In order to produce gasoline, crude oil, a natural recourse, is first dug out of the ground and refined into the liquid that we later pump into our car. As we continue down the same road we often bump into potholes, startling us and snapping us back into reality. That’s what often happens when we are so caught up in our own lives; we forget to look at the bigger picture. In our daily routine we tend to ignore our scientists who warn us about the dangers we are putting upon our Earth, we don’t want to look at the consequences dead in the eye, so we ignore the signs in order to comfort ourselves, and in the end we as Americans will continue to seek out every last corner of the Earth until every natural resource is ultimately finished. Compared to other nations around our world, Americans live a prosperous life. We expect the ability to turn on a faucet and watch clean, refreshing water pour out before our eyes. Many nations across our world lack human necessities; for example, cotton blankets, plastic toothbrushes, and writing paper. We don’t comprehend the science behind the simplest recourses discovered…
