Destined To Flourish Case Study

In the lower east of Newport News, Virginia also known as downtown Newport News there are numerous teenage mothers, teenage drop outs. There are teenagers who are among that population that may soon become targeted if they are not supplied with the information and guidance in order to survive through the unfortunate situation. The after school programs and recreation centers that once were downtown have become closed and are not getting enough financial support to continue to market to the children in the area. Destined to Flourish, is a program that will be established to focus on primarily the female adolescents of this community. The board of directors of the program will be on the background. These individuals are the voice of the program. They will handle all necessary legal, state, and financial material that will keep the business running smoothly. Destined to Flourish, will be finance through Langley Federal Credit Union and will apply for grants to begin its process. This will be a continuous process and the public will have to have patience as the program is becoming established. The opening date for the program will be October 10, 2016. Destined to Flourish will ultimately become successful in the long run. We hope to see improvement in the downtown region of Newport News. There will a lower rate of teenage pregnancy, STDs, and high school rates. But in turn, a higher rate of graduation and acceptances to college, especially from those individuals who have been in the program. In this proposal it will discuss more of the management, business strategy, financial/budgeting, and plans for the program. We hope that this program uplifts all children from surrounding communities and soon look forward to expanding to other communities and more adolescents of both
