Desiree: A Fictional Narrative

Decent Essays
Desiree held her breath as she waited for Razio to speak. And speak he did, he continued on and on and all she wanted to do was make him stop. She hated the pain that filled his voice. Hated that he felt even more than monster because of her. But was it really her fault? No she was a child when her mind suddenly reached out to him. Desiree didn't even understand why.

Should she trust him, or was it time to cut and run while she had the chance? Running seemed logical, but leaving him filled her with an emptiness Desiree didn't think she could endure. "Stop, just stop ok." she shook her head stepped closer as he took her hand. "I didn't say you were a monster. Ok maybe by mistake I did. And I wasn't made about being attached to you. Surprised yes, mad no not really. I was made because you walked away before I could even pro...." her mind paused as his lips met her skin.

The feel of his soft lips on her skin sent a shock of sensation straight to her core. Heat flooded her system and she suddenly didn't feel as angry with him. "You have answers Razio, answers I need. You may be used to this sort of stuff but I'm so lost I don't know which end is up at the moment.' Desiree admitted but turned her hand to grip his hand and closed the distance between them.

So no leaving me standing here, or so help me I'll go to your boss and raise hell." again she tried to sound firm but it didn't seem to fill her voice as before. "I need to process, but I'm not saying no or telling you to leave. I want you Razio," she paused and blushed once more, "I mean I want to be with you." she groaned knowing that didn't sound any better. Desiree felt her body waking up, as if from a long sleep. And it was making her mind all fuzzy again. It was all his fault, Razio and those lips of

All that is mixed up into the life of an average Hispanic woman from Chicago. Halfway through her article, during her “growing writer” stage, Cisneros writes a paragraph about what her and her friends do together.…

In the story “Desiree’s baby” by Kate Chopin, Desiree has heard the life altering news that her and her baby are biracial. Desiree then proceeds to kill both of them in a swamp. I believe this was the wrong call on desiree's part. Although some might argue it was good of her to end their lives, I don’t believe this because it ended the life of the baby, and because she could of had a decent life with the Valmonde. My first claim is that it is just inhumane to kill an infant.…
