Part A. To create an excellent lesson plan on expository writing, I must self regulate my learning process, beginning in the forethought my setting a goal for my task. My goal is to construct an organized step-by-step process to help my students write an effective expository essay to the best of their abilities. To do this I have to begin with strategic planning, including different activities or models to help my students visualize or understand the goal of their essay. I will also need to develop a prompt that my students will passionately write about, such as “What career would you like to have and why?” For the first step of my self-motivation beliefs, my self efficacy is that I’m an excellent teacher and writer, so I am more than capable of creating a great expository …show more content…
Next, my list of brainstorming strategies and writing prompt options. Lastly, explaining the form of the essay and how they include their three main points. If I’m not satisfied with my lesson plan, I may experiment with different strategies, possibly researching expository writing if I’m not grasping on how to teach it. For my self reflection and self-evaluation I believe I created a very fun and understandable lesson plan. An error that could occur when I teach this topic, is my students may not be able to pull three main points from the chosen prompt. Personally, I think my organized lesson plan will be potent in allowing my students to write a paper equal or above their ability levels. To adapt for the possible error I might expect, if my students have trouble with the prompt, I will have developed a few different options and allow they to choose. During the self refection phase I’m evaluating my progress in the forethought and performance phase, but if I need to adjust for anything, my reflection can circle back to either previous
