It's a fact: Day to day activity rates all over the world have been declining at faster rates than ever, especially children in technologically advanced and advancing countries. Nike has noticed this problem and has decided to try to to help by creating the Designed to Move campaign. The truth is, how our generation acts will can decide the fate of every generation to come. Our generation is becoming more inactive, and if we are inactive, our children will also become inactive. The trend will just continue for years to come. On the other hand, if parents and parents to come are physically active, our children and future generations will carry on those habits and live healthier, happier lives. People could also use the argument that they would rather learn and gain knowledge then waste time on physical activity, and it's true that we need people to learn and study, but wouldn't they just be a burden to society? It is proven that physically active kids have test scores up to 40% higher than kids that are physically inactive, are 15% more likely to go to college, and have/will have 7-8% higher annual earnings, so obviously that thinking is inaccurate (Designed to Move). Now there are health issues that prevent people from being active, but for the people who do not have a handicap, they are just being bad examples for children and future generations, sending the message that inactivity is ok. People that lead physically active lives are able to achieve more throughout their lives and is something that everyone should strive

As a result, some older adults choose to participate in physical activity in order to address these health issues. The Department of Health Australia have approved of this notion, by suggesting that “Older people should do some type of physical activity, no matter their age, weight, health complications or physical ability”.
