Over the Summer Wade transferred to the Miller School of Albemarle in Charlottesville Va. With this being a private school Wade benefited greatly because instead of this being his senior he gets to be a junior and have an extra year to show what he can do on the floor.
“ Being at Green Run has helped me so much, Coach (Kenneth) Harris taught me how to work hard and leave everything on the court which is something I was not doing before I got there. I plan on taking the things I learned there and taking them to my new school here.”

There is only books and ball, Wade and another one of our transfers were willing to make that sacrifice. If they are not in class then they are in the gym, or working out with one of the UVA coaches, or running cross country, they have a full schedule from when they wake up to when they go to sleep and Shaun has bought in and is making sure the rest of the team is as well. He does not let his teammates skip out on a workout or anything.
Coach Harris his former coach at Green Run had a few good things to say about Wade.” He is a smart young kid. I enjoyed coaching him while at Green Run. I know he will take the knowledge and competitive nature that we instill in our guys at Green Run.When we played them(Booplex Jamboree) the energy level was sky high. We wish him nothing but the best.”
Wade has not only impressed his teammates and coaches but many colleges as well. He has had look from Radford,UVA,NJIT, and Maryland Eastern Shore. He also has an upcoming visit to Virginia Tech which he is very excited about. The sky has no limit for DeShaun it is up to him to showcase what he can do. With a big game like the one he played in, it is easy to get off track. This is what divides the men from the boys so to say. The team has remained vigilante and persevered through it, however there has been one TC that has not been able to adjust to the changing dynamics. From the beginning of the year until now there has been a steady decline in Joey’s professionalism and work ethic. I had very high hopes for Joey, since he was the more seasoned TC and had the drive; I felt he would make a great leader within First American.…
