Desertification is occurring globally especially in the sub-Saharan desert. One of the biggest examples if what is happening is the disappearance of Lake Chad. Lake Chad is located on the border of 4 Sub-Saharan countries: Chad, Niger, Nigeria and Cameroon. It was one of the biggest bodies of water in all of Africa. Its disappearance will greatly impact the countries surrounding it as they depended very much on what the lake provided from water to fish.
