Descriptive Thanksgiving

The arrival of fall is approaching and my excitement is shouting . The feeling of goosebumps start to go up and down my arms when I walk outside enough to give me chills, the breeze moves my hair in a gentle way. The smell of the air starts to consist of pumpkin spice and cinnamon making me lick my lips. The trees start to stand out with vibrant colors, and the leaves fall like rain falls in the spring. All the time and effort put into every leaf to be racked just to be destroyed by a one jump leaves me with sore callus. The sound of the curtains and blinds hitting the wall from the windows open wakes me up like a daily alarm clock just to discover a daily routine of a sore throat. Thanksgiving almost around the corner has my taste buds drooling

By the using plural form and present tense, this quote shows that society is built to destroy sanity. Offred is in, and out of dreaming and confused where she is at. The author stresses the point of there being a lot of tests by choosing not to name them again.…

My family is loud, crazy and not afraid to voice their opinions so there is always drama at every dinner or family event. I chose to write on this because I never payed attention to detail or interactions at these dinners like why the women cook? Or why it is important that we are all together.…

The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Of course all the classic thanksgiving things happen but there are also psychological things that go on. (Darn that psychology sneaking its way into everything, it obviously never goes on break.) Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…

In the incredible ode, “To Autumn”, John Keats uses the literary devices duality and personification to capture the audience’s attention. He talks about the differences in autumn and it becomes clear that no matter the scale of revolt, or whatever happens, the cycle of life will continue endlessly. This is obvious when one looks at the phrases in each stanza, which makes the slight contrasts Keats’ uses purposeful. By looking at duality and personification, we can see the major differences in the phrases and the stanzas; this is important because John Keats magnificently exemplifies that all good things must eventually end as it’s a common cycle to all living on earth.…
