Dre And Halo's Short Story: The Haunted House

Improved Essays
As i walked into the house I threw my bag on the couch and hurried into my room. I sat on my bed and turned on my stereo. My Mom walks in to my room and gives me the usual speech about how she doesn't like the music i listen to. She says i will turn out to be like the other gangsters or thugs in our neighborhood. I tell her that i will not turn out like them and she has nothing to worry about. The thing she doesn't know is that I am already just like them. Later that night I went out to my gangs hangout spot. Right when I walk in the house they were handing me the pipe and beer. I have not been hanging out with these guys for very long, but they are quick to get you to do what they do. When i get to the back yard I see the leader of our area. …show more content…
He then sent me, dre, and Halo to the house we were going to rob. Dre and Halo are the two best men in our gang. When we got to the house Dre stopped the car and turned to the back. he handed me my mask and 9mm pistol. I always thought it would be cool to hold a gun, but that was not the case for me. When i felt the gun it all hit me fast that it was really happening. I could feel the sweat dripping from my head. The butterflies were pounding in stomach harder than i have ever felt. Dre and Halo hop out the car and tell me to get out, i think they could both tell i was nervous. We ran around to the back of the house and jumped in the window. We were very quiet when we got inside the house. The two went straight to the basement. I was looking in the rooms as I made my way to the stairs, but I did not see anyone in the house. Dre took a big picture of the pope off the wall, which then exposed a safe vault. Halo opened it right up like it was his own safe. I was very curious as to how he knew what the combination was to the vault. We then hurried out of the house and went back to the gang house. When we returned Dre and Halo told the boss that I did much better than they …show more content…
He took me out to the garage. I could a large about of blood on the floor like someone was being pulled on the floor the blood marks led to the first door on my right. The boss told me that when he opens up the door I would know what to do, and if i could do that for him i would be a part of the family. My heart was pounding I had so many things rushing in my head about what was behind that door. The boss grabbed me by the shoulder told me i had one minute opened the door and pushed me in. What I saw before me shook me. I could barely hold the 9mm that Halo gave me. There tied up and bloody was the chief of police. When i saw he was wearing pajamas it all became clear to me. The boss had already robbed the house that we hit earlier, and thats how Halo knew what the combo was to the safe. We had hit the cheif of police's house. As I was thinking so hard about everything i heard the boss yell out ten seconds. I lifted the gun to his head clenched muscle in my body and pulled the trigger. I could barely feel my body, everything was numb. All the hurting i thought i was feeling was nothing to the feeling my mom felt later that night when she got the call that her son had shot

I remember in the news, the news anchor reported that New York City was recognized as the crime capital in the 1950's through the early 1990's.…

Another British soldier had walked out and scolded the young boy for disrespecting a British soldier. After driving through the big, confusing, dark neighborhood at night we found a house with a black plaque that said, ‘Welcome to the Jameson’s’ Jacob, Tyler, Ra’shawn, Andrew, and I walked to the back of the gray house.…
