There is an overwhelming large number of obese people living in the United States, particularly in the State of West Virginia. The need for a weight loss study to be conducted in this state is so needed. West Virginia has the second largest obesity population. According to the Robert Wood Foundation Obesity Report of (2015), “West Virginia 's adult obesity rate is currently 35.7 percent, up from 23.9 percent in 2000 and from 13.7 percent in 1990”. Obesity increases the risks for developing many chronic health conditions such as Diabetes, Stroke, Cardiovascular Disorders, Respiratory disorders and some Cancers. That places a great financial burden on the country’s Health Care System. The methodology section of this research will described the research design, where study will take place, the population used and how information will be obtained. A descriptive Longitudinal study design will be conducted in a secured 1000 sq. ft. medical office space in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and a population of 20 willing female subjects from ages 20-50 will be selected from the Shepherdstown community. An equal number of subjects will be chosen from each race.

1. 5 whites
2. 5 blacks
3. 5 Asians
4. 5 Hispanics

Each subject will be identified as followed:
WHITES BLACKS ASIAN HISPANICS

After approval from IRB is obtained, researcher will place an advertisement recruitment Ads in the community local newspaper, news web, place posters in libraries, and in local restaurants and give out fliers in doctors’ office. The information in the advertisements and fliers will have a brief description of research study, age requirements, BMI requirement of 30% over body weight, time commitment, benefits and risks, name of research organization and location of study with contact information and IRB
