Descriptive Essay-Where It's Hope What To Do?

Improved Essays
Hope walked downstairs dressed in athletic clothing. Hope has a lot of athleticism and did karate for seven years with Natasha and Clint so she figured training couldn’t be extremely hard. As soon as Hope got downstairs, Natasha lead Hope past the kitchen to another door, which was covered in shiny, grey metal. Hope recognized this door- she always wondered what was behind it. Her mother always said, “Never, under any circumstances, go in here. Ever.” Hope misses her mother, even though she always tells Hope what to do. Training began as soon as they walked into the room. The room was big, about the size of a basketball court, with weights, punching bags, and punching gloves. First, Natasha had Hope punch a punching bag for an hour straight.

The Concreted Declaration of the Students of Rowland High School, When in course of human events, it becomes necessary for the school to dismiss the compulsory nature of the school system, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the free and lenient station which the Laws of Nature and of the country entitle them, an adequate respect to the opinions of students demands that they should declare the causes which impel them to dislike school as a whole. We hold these truths to be pronounced: that all students are created equal, that they are given by their Creator the rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, and that they have been enduring the harsh and stressful environment of school for as long as they have. In order for…

However, going to college and actually completing the journey is much easier said than done. An aspect of this journey that really stands out to me is the use of programs that aid first-generation college students. My first quote, “still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation.” (King 3) He uses tone, to show that he and the other African Americans are still in a way hurt, by the actions of the white men and women.…
