Descriptive Essay: The Powerful Sniper

The victorious sniper’s spirit plundered. His arms weakened and his fingers trembled at the sight of his deceased brother. “What are the odds?” He thought to himself, attempting not to tear up. David stared into his glistening eyes as if the hell around him was no longer relevant. The explosive sounds of gunfire brought Daniel back to reality. Suddenly, he knew there was no correct side to be on. Everyone in this destructive war was unable to see the problems they were creating amongst themselves. Dropping his sniper rifle, Daniel sighted the nearest building and darted towards it hesitantly. His heart pounded at the thought of being shot down as he made his way across visible territory. Daniel kicked him the leg with all his might and punched him clean on the forehead. The two unconscious enemies lay a few yards outside of the building. The plan was to blow up the building without any casualties with the few grenades he had stored in his belt pouch. Taking the explosive device, Daniel pulled the pin and tossed it in one of the blown-out windows of the building, which was a central landmark of this territory. Many people heard and saw this landmark explode and collapse upon itself. At an attempt to escape, he made his way back to his brother’s corpse and dragged it under and a hut that was nearby. There was no doubt that the trouble coming towards Daniel’s way was inescapable. The thought of his brother brought tears to his eyes. A vow was placed in his heart to not kill anyone else and to stop this war from getting to out-of-hand. Surrounded by men, guns aimed towards him, he knew he had failed. There was no way such a small man could accomplish such a big achievement, but he was okay with knowing this. From three miles away, you could hear his execution, but at least he died next to his own
