Covered with cracks and holes

Red, pink, and orange
Bringing colour and grace into the
Usually dull and anguished dawn
Mended shattered hearts
Filled hollow souls
Even the formerly flourished land, now desolate
Regrew from his enchanting effect He never requested something in return
For making my world impeccable
But then again, a 100 years of slavery
Could not come close to his services
Yet, he didn’t have the ability
To take care of the entire world
His enemy took advantage of that
And unrolled violence and war at the places he couldn’t reach
However, he kept us secure
Trapping us
