What if they didn't finish 11-25, what if they didn't lose 9 straight games at the end of August. Doesn't matter, its over they collapsed. …show more content…

Playing sports has always been my passion, I love everything about it. But one thing has always stood in my way; my size. I’ve never been the tallest person in a crowd and most of the time I am one of the shortest people in the room. In my opinion, I would consider them one of the favorites for winning the World Series and a big reason for that is because of Strasburg’s pitching. Fortunately, Strasburg is on a team that has helped him out graciously with runs. Other aces have thrown great games and lost because of no offensive support, but with a team filled with offensives stars, that doesn’t seem to happen anytime…

The White Sox of 1919 are considered to be one of the only teams to successfully fix the World Series because they had a set plan to do it. The 1919 white sox were able to fix the world series because they only let a select few know about the plan, they had other people put the bets for the players so they wouldn’t be seen, and they had people put bets on against them so they could make the most amount of profit as possible. The reason why players from the team decided to go along with fixing the game was because of their commissioner Charles Comiskey, he never paid the players on the team what they truly deserved. He was so cheap to his team he wouldn’t pay for their uniforms to be cleaned which is where the name “The Black Sox” comes from.…
