I remember a time where virtual reality didn 't exist and the most we had was 3D, a time when people drove themselves. A time where I taught myself how to rollerblade, and with a fearless attitude I felt the world was mine to conquer. The energetic and skirmish seven year old child in me was always coming up with new and better ways to defy the odds and break barriers. At the time, I lived in a small blue house located at the bottom of a slope on the corner of Texas Street and Madison Avenue in the neighborhood of North Park. Directly across from our house was the Quality Market Liquor store that was owned by an Arab business man. Which is now called “Make Reality Yours.” My older sister Adriana, who was five years older, six inches taller, and eight to nine shades lighter in skin tone was my partner in crime. Any attempt to have VR studied has been deemed necessary based on it being marketed as a leisure product and not being used for any type of consumption putting it in the same category as video games. Virtual reality has given the opportunity to families to spend and be able to do one last thing together as a family before a loved one dies, like being able to travel the world in minutes. Also, it has given the opportunity to children who can 't walk be able to experience things they never would have been able to like riding a bike or being able to play a sport and run freely. You see, virtual reality has given many a second chance at things no one ever could imagine. VR simulations can also offer practice runs at techniques, designs and ideas.
