Descriptive Essay On Seal Beach

However, the food is not the only thing magnificent about Isla de Lopez, Seal Beach. The water is absolutely beautiful. It look like an artist took his paint brush and created unique green, blues, and purples to shade the ocean. Furthermore, those colors seem to have barriers between them. Due to the different densities of the water, they never mix. Instead, they simply dance past each other shimmering softy in the sunlight. Walking along the pier afford me this view, and I was astounded. Additionally, in certain parts of the ocean, the water was so clear, that I could see fish swimming.

When I was young in Mastic Beach, we spent Saturday mornings on the porch eating pancakes made by mom and naming all the birds that flew by. When I was young in Mastic Beach, the scent of paint lingered on dads clothes as he taught me how to make the images in my head appear on the canvas in front of me. The clay he brought home already sculpted into figures and applauded no matter how unrecognizable they actually were. When I was young in Mastic Beach, we made frequent trips to the beach at sunset and stayed well into the night, not caring about the mosquito bites that littered our bodies.…

Thoughts like: what’s going on, and what just happened flashed through my mind while I was hanging there, off of the edge of the Boardwalk. I really didn’t understand why I was dangling by one hand and staring at what seemed to be a cement wall about 20 feet ahead. I heard my mother scream something about my name and I instantly remembered what I had been doing before whatever I’m doing now. I look down and see the big fish below me. As a ten year old, many things seem “big”, but these fish really were overfed, french fry eating monsters.…

When most people think of Hawaii, people think of paradise. Coconuts, sunshine, no worries, bruddah, right? Well, yes, this is true, but there's much more to the 808 than that. Most tourists are only there for Waikiki or North Shore or even the shopping on Kalakaua Avenue that easily rivals (and can even best) Sunset Boulevard, Rodeo Drive or even Fifth Avenue; and while walking out of the Macy’s and looking street sign reading “Kalakaua” or “Nohonani”, it is guaranteed that they do not stop and think of where these names came from. Usually all the information on Hawaii that people usually retain is that “Pearl Harbor happened there, pineapples are delicious and they’re from Hawaii...right?”…

Matthew Arnold’s Dover Beach, an insightful poem, warns its readers about the dangers of the world in an attempt to make them feel better. The poem compares the harsh reality of its readers’ isolation in the world to various images of oceanic scenes. In his first stanza, Arnold emphasizes the importance of distinguishing the difference between illusion and reality through his constant change from a beautiful to disheartening tone. Arnold’s “Sea of Faith” metaphorically attributes the decline of religion as a priority to new scientific discoveries and the constant revolutions in Europe surrounding him at the time. Dover Beach offers salvation from this dismal world without religion through the only sufficient thing left: truth.…

Anna Maria Florida It was a hot, humid Sunday in Anna Maria Florida. We were going to the beach with the 3 other families that went with us. It was about a five minute walk from our house we rented to the beach, which really felt like five hours because I was really excited. Once we FINALLY got there my friends and I decided to take our shoes off and find a perfect spot in the white hot sand to set up of chairs and umbrella. We took our clothes off because our swim suits were underneath and sprinted to the clear blue ocean.…

We got to the beach in no time. The sun was still high in the sky, making it more than warm enough for everyone to be looking forward to getting to the ocean. We set up camp on the higher part of the beach, close enough so that the trip down to the water wouldn’t be long and tiring but far enough away to where the tides wouldn’t hit our camps. The camps were sort of sad heaps of everything we had saved from the crashed plane and burning building. Our little spot we had picked out was at the edge of the beach, where the tan sand gave way to green grass and tall trees.…
