On Point “I hope you’re comfortable working for On Point Laboratories, Mr. Parker,” stated the individual in his two-button Givenchy suit as he walked out of the room. 28-year-old Miles Parker smiled to himself, taking out his binder and setting it near the computer. As he fumbled with his worn-out satchel, he found himself wondering how he claimed a job at the top-secret On Point Laboratories, which was located on Tahiti. Placing the satchel under the desk, Parker turned on his Canon EOS 650D and strolled out of his copious office into the hallway. Miles was actually an undercover detective for The Telegraph, working on his newest story. His boss, who knew a friend that worked at On Point Laboratories, had asked the reporter to monitor the …show more content…
“A broken pedometer can count more steps than the genes that gave you your anger.” As Parker caught his breath, Murkoff proceeded to reach into the dented cooler and took out a syringe with an apportioned amount of mauve-colored liquid inside and another filled with an amber-colored solution. “And you can be my new test subject for my serum, Mr. Parker, since you so kindly volunteered. The statistics may show that my new serum has a slow effect, but my data allowed me to make a faster and more effective one for spies like you.”
“I may die early, but not by one of your jacked-up serums.” Parker attempted to defend himself with his arms, but was pushed down by the immoral executive and injected with the amber solution.
“It’s only a sedative, Miles, don’t fight. I mean, the other syringe already has my ‘amnesia’’ serum ready,” said Murkoff, taking his time in walking away. “It will be over real soon, I guaranteed it. My word is true like the volume of a sphere, or perhaps the symmetry of a tessellation? Maybe the formula for acceleration or the location of On Point Laboratories? Maybe, just maybe...”
