Lake House

Last summer When I was invited to a friend’s lake house my heart sank deeply, because it meant I would have to miss a very important hockey tournament, but in the end it turned out to be one of the best weekends of the summer. The hockey tournament was a very important event for me, but when I found out I could go it causeD me to be very miserable and not to be excited to go to the lake house. This was a very important event in my life, because as the days went by, I realized how I shouldn't judge something before it experienced or occurred to me. Once we arrived at the lake house all of the other boys and me realized how the house was old and in pretty bad shape, but we ignored that because we didn’t come to worry about those

Kneeboarding is basically when you are on your knees on a board. This was the easiest to get up, and start doing and learning tricks. One trick I was able to accomplish was a 360 on the board. Then the parent started to try to knock me off the board. He first took me into the circle of doom. This is when he drives me out of the wake and makes me crash into the waves. On his first attempt he failed, but on the second one he completely knocked me off making me feel dizzy after the hit.
Once done with the boat rides we were given a nice tasty birthday meal with steak, potatoes, salad, and of course the birthday cake. While we were eating we were also watching the Blackhawks vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning playoff game. With luck on our side we were able to pull off a win against the Lightning. After dinner all of us boys went outside into the woods and started to play a game called kick the can. During the game I accidently stepped into a puddle of water which steeped my gym shoe. At about 2:30 in the morning we decided to go to sleep.
The next day we all woke up to terrible sunburns. If someone touched your shoulders or back it felt like a hard five star. Besides that, many of us had the chance to try wakeboarding, which mostly none of us have tried. I was able to stand up on my second try but got knocked off while trying to do a

The evidence is probably sufficient to conclude the pool house is a dwelling because its use and structure support the theory that it is an extension of the living quarters. The State will likely be able to prove the Hernandezes’ pool house constitutes a dwelling because the facts support that its construction resembles that of the main dwelling and that it is frequently used for similar purposes as the living quarters, such as eating, sitting, watching television, and hosting friends. As defined in ILCS §5/19-3, “a person commits residential burglary when he knowingly enters or remains within the dwelling place of another, or any part thereof, with the intent to commit a felony.” For the purpose of this statute, dwelling is defined as “a house, apartment, mobile home, trailer, or other living quarters” in which a person “actually resides.”…

We have examined many wonderful stories throughout the course of this year, but my favorite from this year was Once More to the Lake by E.B. White. Magnificently, it encompasses the story of a father sharing one of his greatest childhood memories with his son. As a boy, the father had ventured with his family to the state of Maine, where they spent the month of August living next to a lake. Although there were a couple incidents on his original trip, the father had always been drawn to the peacefulness of the lake and the fantastic memories which were linked to the place. However, the story focused more exclusively on the realization of the father, where he pictured himself as his father and his son as him.…

When I was about 3 years old, I can remember my Grandparents lake house in Houston, Texas. My parents and I lived there until my grandparents moved into the country 2 hours outside Houston. Before moving, I can remember my mother taking me out to the lake to feed the ducks and always telling me I can’t swim in the lake because it’s too dirty. I remember going into the kitchen to get juice and spilled it everywhere and was found cleaning my mess while cursing because I thought saying “Shit” and “God Damnit” would magically clean the mess. I would grab a stick of butter and sit 3 inches from the television while watching the Teletubbies.…

During these fights, we basically wrestle on top of each other’s shoulders until one of the pairs falls. It seems a bit dangerous and quite frankly, insane, but it's all for good fun. That night, as we were laying on the floaties, some neighboring campers set off fireworks that made the extravagant, stary Wyoming sky even more beautiful. As the night progressed the family ended up playing some unmentionable, but absolutely hilarious games around the campfire, we cooked some s'mores, and told stories that made us laugh till we cried. These are the nights I live for.…
