It can be hard to pin point at which point I realized my love for this famous soda, but I can say without a doubt that the credit goes to my father for being the one who originally got me hooked. He, throughout my lifetime at least, has always kept a coke in his hand and I followed suit. This sugary soda, as unhealthy as it may be, will most likely be my favorite drink until the day I die (hopefully not of diabetes). Even on a hot and steamy Mississippi day I find myself reaching into the fridge for a coke over a bottle of water in almost every situation. I find the soda refreshing while others claim it can even make them thirstier than when they started. In fact, as sad as this may be, I can not remember the last day I went without a coke. The company pushes it 's ideals through its slogan, “Open Happiness.” Striving to give you enjoyment in ever sip, and it is ultimately successful. Aside from their slogan the brand pushes for happy thoughts through their ad campaigns such as the polar bears and the series of commercials with actors passing cokes out as if they are literally spreading joy to the masses. You can also see Coca-Cola 's attempt to connect with its clientele with their recent idea to put patrons names on the bottles.
