Descriptive Essay On Clothes Shopping

Today is the day my mom and I are going to the mall for school clothes. I am starting my 7th grade year at Wahama. I am really excited to be going clothes shopping. I woke up to my mom telling me it was time to get up. I jumped out of bed, threw some clothes, and brushed my teeth. I yelled to mom that I was ready and went out to the car to wait on her. She finally came out after what seemed like forever, and we were on our way. We decided to go to the mall in Huntington. It’s a long drive from my house, and I was antsy to get there. I kept playing with the radio to try to entertain myself on the ride. After a while, we finally arrived at the mall. We parked the car and headed inside. I started my day by looking at the clothes in Sears. I couldn’t really find much on the racks. We had waited until the week before school started, so there wasn’t much to choose from. I looked the racks over and over to only find one t-shirt that I liked. I tried the shirt on but it didn’t fit. I decided to move on to another store, which was Hollister.
I went into Hollister and immediately began looking. I ended up finding a bunch of shirts I liked. I grabbed them in my size and went to the dressing room. I tried one on and it wouldn’t fit. I tried on a few more, which didn’t fit …show more content…
I understand that nice clothes are awesome to have, but some people can’t afford them. I never realized how bad our culture was until I sat there and thought about school. I remember children getting made fun of for what they wore in elementary school. The culture was believed that you had to have this and that to be popular, and I never realized how bad that made me feel about myself. I always tried to fit in, but I couldn’t buy all the new things the individuals in our society believed I should have. Individuals should think what would they feel like if they couldn’t afford to fit into the culture before making fun of someone
