Descriptive Essay On An Insane House

Every morning is the same, I wake up groggy and confused, look around at my dingy room with pale white walls, and realize where I am. An insane asylum. I move my legs and arms to try and stretch and I feel the restraints holding me down to my rickety metal bed. It 's sad how little care they have for a women like myself. A man walks in with a shiny metal tray, full of a meat that looks as old as his face and mashed potatoes that are so watery they almost splash out of the tray. The man places the tray on the ground and grabs the keys from his brown leather belt to unlock the shackles on both of my hands. I rub my wrists as he walks out of the room without a single word. No one was around. It was dark but there was enough light from a hanging light bulb that I could see my surroundings. The floor was riddled with stains and the room smelled like my husband, bleach and men 's body spray. I stood up and saw a figure lurking in the doorway. He walked out into the little light in the room and it was my husband. The buzzed hair and strong jaw line. The long legs and fit upper body. I called to him and he didn 't respond. He walked away and slammed the door. Hours past and no sign of anyone. I screamed and hollered, banged on the walls and no one came. Until Steven walked in and grabbed me by the hair. He screamed at me for following him, for lying to him. Every time I talked he’d hit me repeatedly. I cried and he tried to comfort me. I pushed him away with all of my strength. I screamed for help, I didn 't want him anywhere near me. Not after everything I saw. A nurse came in my hospital room with a look of panic. The nurse tried to calm me down and I told her what I saw, what my husband had done to me. She grabbed my hands and told me I was hit by a car when I was walking across the street from my car to my apartment. Steven was coming home when it happened and called 9-1-1 right away when he saw you in the street. I refused to believe it and told her over and over again that it wasn 't true. Steven got up to try and hug me but I hit and slapped him away. There was no way I was going to let him near me.
