I have come in contact with most of these different slangs and uses of the English language since I am able to travel with my father and even seen him pick up the slang of where he travels saying “Boston” with that oh-so cocky “Boston” twang it has. I have tried both out in my head for the last couple of minutes and it seems like they both fit perfectly into my type of dialect and everyone would know what I would be saying and not get too offended by my pronunciation, like the quiz says though most of my friends do say it the “sit” way but according to the map there is a lot off both “sit” and “see” in our state.
The third one that I thought was particular interesting since I like the more scientific world is how people pronounce the “s” in “chromosome” saying 47% of people say it with a z 33% say it with an s and amazingly to me 18% accept it both ways. I think I would only be able to say it with a “z” sound in the noun. Most of the people in Oklahoma are able to say it both ways yet I have never heard it pronounced with an “s” I do think I would have to correct them if they pronounced it like that.
The fourth one is a state close to us on how to pronounce “Texas” 90% saying it with an “s” and 5% saying with a “z”. I never would have imaged people from Texas pronouncing it with a “z” it sounds too much like an inappropriate word to me though my mother likes to say it with a “z” to make fun of their name but have never heard it used in a real
