I glanced out the window. The sky was tar-black and large clouds were moving towards me. I heard a tap on the window, and then it became a pitter-patter. Outside, People were running for cover and umbrellas opened as the clouds spat out their beads of water. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier. The roofs of the cars danced with the rain and I could hear the murmuring of the rain through the window; it sounded like the buzzing of angry bees. These pearls falling from the sky never changed- they remained the same, like they did 15 years ago, when I first met him.
I was walking out of my favourite restaurant in a hurry as I was running late for my dance competition. I quickened my pace as the clouds gathered in the sky. Up till then the sky had been postcard-perfect, but the beautiful cocktail-blue shade had started darkening into gravel-grey. Pillows of clouds were forming, blotting out the old-gold colour of the sun. I ran towards my car as it rained. While struggling to find my car keys, I bumped into him and fell down. At that moment I was furious, and the rain added like fuel to the fire. I stood back up on my own feet as he watched and did not bother to offer any help. I was absolutely enraged by this ungentlemanly act and I snapped back at him. “Idiot! Look where you 're going. Are you blind or what?” “Excuse me, watch it there. I am sorry, but it was you who bumped into me first.” He retorted back with a pinch of arrogance. By this time I…
