holding onto my mom’s thighs the whole time and suddenly Amy, turned to me, “Hey, this is quite cool! We can stick our heads out like dogs! We’re free!” I totally ignored her and kept quiet, sweating my life away. Our first stop was Ho Chi Minh City, commonly known as Saigon. It’s a popular place where most tourists visit and it was famous for the role it played in the Vietnam War. Of course, I didn’t know that back then, I just knew one out of my 10 aunts lived in that city. Going through the busy streets of Vietnam, I noticed people driving motorcycles and it seemed to be that the only people who drove cars were the high-class. There were absolutely no streetlights and everyone just drove as they please. It is a scary thought to be driving

The house we were staying at, there was about 10 people living there but it was a pretty big house. It was no ordinary house though. The neighborhood we lived in was a busy one. It’s like living in front of a freeway and there was a pharmacy right next door to us. It was a bit odd. Going downstairs, there was one person, I was curious about. She was the only person in that house that was the same age as me; wearing dog patterned pajamas, and had her hair up in a bun. I was totally in shock and I didn’t really know what to reply back to my mom. My mom dragged my siblings and I to introduced us to her. I don’t remember her name because it was a Vietnamese name and you guys already know I’m bad at Vietnamese. Another thing about not knowing much was communicating with her. I was ready to bring out my Viet-English into play. We both were fascinated and curious about each other’s lifestyle. I got to say, she’s pretty awesome, working at a young age and all. By the end of the day, she was one of my closest friends
