Descriptive Essay: Gambino's In Fairhope, Alabama

One of my favorite place to go is Gambino’s in Fairhope, Alabama. This little, Italian restaurant on the edge of the bay that has been there since I was a little girl. I always loved getting to dress up in my little, plastic high heels when I was four years old to go to dinner. The car ride to the restaurant is absolutely beautiful with the bay views on one side and the rustic, tiny downtown on the other. I always know we are close to being there when I see the neon light sign with Gambino’s on it peeking around the corner. Entering the parking lot I see the koi fish pond on the right side of the building by the front double doors. That pond brings back so many memories, because one time I dropped my barbie doll right in the pond. It was a traumatizing experience for a six year old, but at least I was about go to eat the most delicious food that makes me so full I can briefly move. Once I open the door to go inside I feel the air conditioner air on my face and I see the famous floor to ceiling wall of photos of the owner’s family members. My favorite one is of a little boy with spaghetti all over his face. After I have a chance to look at the wall we are seated right way, because of our five o’clock reservation. A reservation is crucial to make, because without one you will be waiting in a line out the door that could last over an hour. There are several rooms that you can request to sit in and my family always choices to sit in the piano room with windows on every wall so you have a three hundred and sixty degree view the Fairhope Pier. The room has a elaborate feeling with a burning candle sitting in a bottle melting down the side and crisp white table on every
