F.J. Reitz High School
F.J. Reitz is a foreboding school; the first time I stepped out of my families car to register at the school, I was frightened of what could happening to me at a school with such a strong feeling coming off the school.
Upon a giant hill sits F.J. Reitz, the school looks as if it belongs on the hill. The brick, cream, and bark blue, school itself melds with the hill sits on. A huge R marks the side of the hill, claiming it for the school and it's goers. The building is asymmetrical with two, window covered sections of the school being connected by a hallway bridging between the two. Stair run down from the bridge to the ground below creating the glass incased schools main entrance. The left section of the school facing the suburbs of Reitz hill, has a long white staircase with blue railing leading to an entrance to the gym. While the right side of the school facing the edge of the hill towards the riverside.
The inside of the school gives off a strong feeling of school pride. The white walls of the school are covered ceiling to floor in "Panther Pride" posters. Scattered throughout the halls …show more content…
We had some teachers that made you feel like giving up on school completely, others that are the fun and excited type, and the best teacher to walk the planet, the kind that makes you happy to try your hand at a hard subject in their class. The students of the school each different but most cliques melted together between students. The cliques that existed were the band, the geek weird people, popular people, theater guys and people involved in sports. Not one person stayed were they belonged in cliques at this school, which felt nice when you yourself feel out of place. The staff of the school(not including teachers) were pretty strict, bitter people to those who weren't involved in many things, but to others they were sweet as honey too. This can make you feel unwanted at
