I choose the skill level of the nursing staff and the education and certification levels of the nursing staff as the two quality indicators of structure of the home visiting program. The skill levels vary from Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Registered Nurses (RN), and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). Knowing the skill level of the nursing staff is vital because it directly impacts the quality of care. Keeping up to date on the latest education is important for the safety of the clients. Knowing the best way to do procedures will save time and resources while reducing medical errors. I choose pain assessment intervention and RN satisfaction survey options as the two quality indicators for the process of the home visiting program. This program is designed to reduce neglect, physical abuse, and maltreatment of children. The program offers support groups for parents, helps parents become the best parents they can be, and reach personal goals by making better use of community support. The program also offers retinue screening for child development and maternal depression (Healthy Families of America, n.d.). I would reassure the mother and grandmother that the program meets the quality criteria and provides safe holistic care to family members by allowing them to read the success stories on the website and showing them the research to support the program claims. Lifetime strength of the program is the increased use of non-violent discipline and the understanding about the child first relationship lay the foundation for health and well-being (Healthy Families of America, n.d.).
