Descriptive Essay: Crab Hole

Crab Hole As I walked along the road, excitement coursing through me, I started to get closer to the beach. I took in everything around me, the sand already digging into my feet, the mountain in the distance, covered with lush green trees and full of vibrant colorful flowers. I could smell the scent of salt in the air, watching the rolling waves of blue, clear water.
I breathed in the fresh air and said to myself, ”This is what Hawaii smells like.”

I learned that if you’re having trouble with something, you can always ask someone older than you, because they may know something that you don’t. I will always think back to that day on the beach, with the warm breeze and the rolling waves on the shore. I will always remember the wet sand beneath my feet. I will always remember my dad’s words and my family’s faith in me. I will remember the abundance of holes in the ground. Finally, I will remember, staring into the piercing eyes of the crab, and remember the look in it’s eyes that I never

The Red Lobster is known for its incredible seafood but what you really notice is how nice it looks on the outside with its red walls and its black pointed roof, as well as the posts out front with rope tied in them, which gives you the feeling of standing on a dock. When you first walk into this fine establishment, you would see a giant metal crab on the hostess booth shining with its brilliant colors in the sunlight. The sunlight reflecting off the crab reminded me of a sunset off the coast of Maine. There is also an aquarium full of live lobsters that you can look at while you are waiting to be seated. The sight of the lobster tank reminded me of the time I went to Maine and went on a lobster trapping excursion.…

Another animal adapted to the abiotic factors of the Nudgee Beach mangrove ecosystem is the common soldier crab (Mictyris longicarpus). The common soldier crab is a small crustacean that typically travels in “armies” of thousands to ensure strength in numbers when feeding. Soldier crabs feed off of particle detritus in the mudflat sediment and retreat back into the sand as the tide rises [11]. With their jointed legs and pointed dactylus, soldier crabs are able to burrow underground and can remain secluded – by creating an air pocket around them – for as long as the tide is high. This…

According to appendix 1, the Boiling Crab’s menu has a limited number of foods and beverages, so the existing customers may feel bored after eating them for many time. Therefore, I think the owner should add a seasonal menu to draw the attention of these customers. To illustrate, the Boiling Crab should have drinks with the special dish during spring, summer, fall, and winter. In summer, the fresh coconut juice imports from Thailand, and the seafood with special sauce comes from Vietnam. Moreover, according to the Kickin’ Crab, it has a separate menu of beverages, but the only difference is the menu of wine.…

Then I went to Mexico and felt the warm ocean breeze roll off the waves and thought man it would be tremendous to be somewhere comparable to this all the time. The resort my family stayed at was exquisite and it had a humongous pool. However, the beach was rocky and not enjoyable to relax on causing my family to go around to different beaches that were quite a bit superior. There was this one time where out of nowhere it started storming forcing all the people on the beach crammed in under this canopy. The canopy was an outdoor restaurant so while all the people on the beach waited for the storm to die down, my parents bought us nachos that were super savory.…
