Blaring noises ricocheted off of the cinder block walls, violently yanking Corbin awake. Blinding light sent flames into his corneas and left burning streams of fire in their wake. His head spinning, Corbin fought his way to his feet to survey his surroundings. The lights, small and circular, covered the ceiling, filling the room with a ridiculously abundant glare. Unfamiliar voices echoed to and fro, wreaking complete havoc on Corbin’s equilibrium and forcing him to sit back down. A vaguely humanoid shape in front of him scared him out of his wits.
