Atop a cliff there stands wave after wave of soldiers sweat pours down their faces they stand motionless knowing that at any second their king could be slaughtered by a man the size of a horse. Out of these two thousand knights only three hundred of them have actually seen the horrifying face of war, but even they are shaking in their boots. Their armor clinks as they shake, and a slight breeze pushes against their crimson surcoats that bare the crest of the Newfield family. The crest is in the shape of a white antelope rising from the ground and striking the horizon with its hooves. The antelope is one of the symbols for political wisdom, harmony, and peace. Bran's thumb and index finger had been cut off by one of his fellow soldiers who he owed fifteen golden crowns. His missing teeth were from one two many drunken bar fights. Bran's forehead was coated in wrinkles he had obviously had a very hard life consisting of abuse and anger. I gave Bran the letter, and he immediately rode for the castle never to return to this campsite. Once the sun crawled back into its hole and the moon was in its highest point in the night sky a group of half-clothed and shackled people the size of a small army marched into our camp. The Thockosa warriors whipped any of them that stopped moving and forced them into carts. These carts were shaped like a box on wheels with metal bars going down its sides. The carts looked like they might collapse at any second, but the Thockosa warriors didn't care they had been defeated and wanted nothing more to do with the Arrance kingdom. The warriors left just as quickly as they had arrived. The knights all turned their attention to the slaves the king had constantly told us he was going to use them in some big project, but he never told anyone what said project was.
