The light’s source was the burning metal husk of a sedan which had taken a nosedive off of a cliff about forty feet high lining the right side of the road. Peter noticed it had originally been white but the fire was now converting it to charcoal black. It was astounding it had landed in the road rather than continue barreling down the entire mountainside. Behind the wreck was a dirt driveway sidewinding its way up a steep hill. A wooden fence followed the path but the section that bordered the top ridge was shattered and its splinters dotted the surrounding pavement. The stench of burning rubber filled the air. Black smoke erupted from the heap melding into the ink black sky.
