Sailing in Croatia – Discovering the Adriatic at Your Own Pace

One of the best experiences you can treat yourself to while vacationing in Croatia is a renting a yacht. Imagine it; the sea and the sun, and you and your partner, sailing the open sea without a care in the world. It’s quite an experience! One of the greatest things about it is the fact that you get to make your own itinerary. Group sailing tours have their charm, that is true, but sometimes you’re just not in the mood for the activities your group leader has in plan for you. Renting your own yacht for a week puts you in charge. You can do whatever you want and when you want it. If you like a specific location, nothing is preventing you from staying longer than you anticipated.

The islands we mention here are not so heavily promoted, and are less crowded, so if you are up for some peace and quiet, make sure to fit them into your itinerary.

Lastovo Nature Park is the most preserved marine environment in the Adriatic Sea. Lighthouse Struga, perched high up on a cliff protruding into the sea, is definitely a sight you will want to

The camp you will be staying at is off the coast of Southern California and is on the North Western side of Catalina. It is 22 miles from Los Angeles which is where you board the ship that takes you to Catalina. When you are outside (or sometimes even when you are inside), the temperature is normally really warm and sometimes humid so I would suggest bringing and applying sunscreen in the morning and after every meal. Some of the native plants are eucalyptus trees, pine trees, moss, and cherry trees. The cherries that are on Catalina Island are different than what we are used to.…
