Upon arrival we decided to make a few stops before heading to the venue. We decided to do some shopping at The Grove. Being the huge book nerd that I am, I of course had to convince my friends to come with me to Barnes and Noble first. The bookstore smelled of delicious coffee brewing and freshly printed books. It was pretty quiet as I scanned the aisles and made my way to the Science Fiction and Fantasy section to look for a book my little sister had asked me to buy her. Unfortunately, they didn’t carry that particular book, but I still walked out with two or three Stephen King novels. Afterwards we ate lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and then we went to Sephora where my friends and I all got a free fifteen minute makeover for the concert. Matty, the vocalist and lead guitarist, was wearing an opened floral shirt and he was dancing terribly, but somehow, it was endearing, and as he pranced around like a fool, the tone for the entire rest of the show was set. Next was “Heart out,” another one of their most popular songs, and I was astounded. Matty’s vocals, the audience dancing and singing along, everything about it was perfect, it sounded even better live. But my favorite part of the entire concert was toward the end, when they began to perform their most emotional songs. They performed “Me,” a song off of their first album which clearly meant a lot to the lead singer, it was a slow song
