First draft It was a pretty nice day, and there was enough sunshine. The sunshine and warm temperature made me happy and calmed me down. I have called my interviewee previously for the reason of interview, and he invited me to his home it was pretty nice house in north of Edmonton . My interviewee 's name is Wu Xiang, and English name is XIANG. He is a IT engineer of Canadian west bank and immigrate from China to Canada two years ago he was a government officer before he came Canada but most surprise me is that he was a part time writer before. I first meet him at a reading club last year the same interesting and topic make us become good friend. I arrived at his room earlier than we appointed time. Before we started, his wife gave us two cups of tea that is a kind of traditional Chinese tea. That is one of same interesting I share with Xiang, it is a pretty good kind of beverage, not only for taste of it , the processes to drink it and the cultural behind on it really attract me in it. And then, I asked him how he started his writing life. He told me that it started in middle school in China, but it just simple writing that just described one thing, what it is and so on. Then in high school, his teacher always pushed him to write homework, so he didn 't really like writing. Actually, although he has written so many years, he thought the real meaning of writing is at the beginning of he came to Canada . Because, in China, he just used the model sentence so that cannot express his own emotion. Two years ago, XIANG took the ESL course, for immigration and he thought it is important. Furthermore, when he completed those courses, he knows how to write logically and build academic essay such as compare and contrast essay, and argument essay. He learned the structure of academic essay and knew how to write in the limited time. He also has ever taken some writing course just like WRS 101 course, and he made great progress after this course. He thinks “it is the important turning point in my writing life. He thinks if he doesn 't have any idea, he cannot write anything. When he has some idea about the topic of essay, he would write down several key words as outline which can help him to clarify his thoughts. “Outline is just like a leader, and can make me write essay more clearly and logically on the time limit” he said. He writes outline, which is just in academic writing in the limited time. It also could be a blueprint of building and enhance the efficiency of writing. I asked him whether he writes quotation and what kinds of quotation he prefers to write. He thinks quotation is the evidence of supporting his own view, and it is important. He prefers to paraphrase, because he wants to write more in his own words to explain and analyze
