The store was had quite a few customers, but it was finally our turn to be helped we asked polity if we could see the birds section. As we got closer the chirping and the hissing got louder and there they were one light blue one green one white and one yellow all looking at me with their small shiny black eyes. Convincing my dad to let me get the birds was not the hard part it was getting the fear of my mom saying no out of his head. Surprisingly my dad allowed me to get all four birds it didn’t take long to convince him, I knew from the beginning he liked birds as soon as we saw them. After buying all the necessary items and gaining instructions for proper care taking we left the store, I was feeling euphoric, full of laughter and joy. Fear of my mom yelling and getting angry had been long forgotten and didn’t have to be remembered either because the excitement of me and my father and the beautiful sight of birds transferred over to both my mom and sister. Having parakeets made me more responsible adding structure and routine to my daily life, no matter what I was doing I knew nothing was more important than caring and feeding my birds and that benefited me as much as it did them. Along with caring I slowly started to train my birds turning their fear into curiosity. Teaching them tricks taught me patience and self-control. As of today no matter what is going on in the house sadness, happiness the birds always provide us with positive mental energy. “Until one has loved an animal a part of one 's soul remains unawakened.” by Anatole France is quote that many pet owners can relate too, caring for an animal uncovers an individual’s hidden softness and love. It shows us humans what it means to depend and trust someone no matter what type of pet someone might have, we all share the same responsibilities and love just in different forms. My parakeets have become a normal part of my life and without them chirping all the time life would indeed be
