Playgrounds….playgrounds are a great part of childhood. They give joy and excitement to the young boys and girls that climb, slide, and explore them. The most familiar thing about playgrounds are the children and then swings. The annoying sound of the creaky chains moving back and forth. However, ever since I was 15 years old, it's haunted me to the bone. On a cold, wet October night my brother told me to be safe. He told me “James! Call me if you need me. I'm gonna be at Maddie’s, and Jack's house.” I replied with a huff and a loud ok. I was home alone that night, brother was leaving, and my parents were out if state on a case. He left, and i was chillin on my laptop. Watching Netflix, then going on Omegle to meet new people. I’m a pretty …show more content…
I tiptoed to my phone in my room. I unlocked it, dialed “911” and hid underneath my bed. I told the operator my address and there was an intruder. I heard him come up from the basement, and move back into my room. Then the unthinkable happened, I was dragged from under my bed. He covered my mouth with one hand and smashed my phone on the ground with the other. He was talking to me like a crazy person, saying what he was gonna do to me. He was calling me Andrew, I have never met an Andrew in my life. He said he was gonna punish me for running away. He told me I was gonna go to the freezer so that the evil would freeze out of me. As he was rambling on, I slowly reached for the pocket knife in my back pocket. I grabbed the knife and jammed it in the side of his neck, then in his right foot so he would slow down. I ran out of my room, and out my front door where the police were had just arrived. I told one officer as she wrote down everything, while the other two went inside. The man had escaped, but no without the last word. The man wrote in blood “ I'll be back you little piece of shit” on my wall. Me and my family moved the next month and i will forever carry a knife and surely never stay home

My heart was beating fast because having never been in a situation like that before. I sat quietly waiting to see where this would go. After arriving I was booked and then had to wait for the county van to come transport me to the Juvenile facility.…

Play is part of children's nature, especially playing outside. "We’re not talking about structured play. We’re talking about free unstructured play out of doors." Seslija(2014) explains, which is a counselor for Health and Physical Education in the UK.Outside precisely is the “boundaries” of children,it should be a simple and carefree place(Seslija,2014).However,there is a growing body of evidence, according to Cheryl(2009),that demonstrates children’s experiences to nature have changed significantly in childhood in the past few decades. In addition,“there are strong indicators of an absence of direct experience with the natural world in many children’s everyday lives. ”(Charles,2009)However,as Seslija(2014)argues,it is difficult to see a child plays outside anymore in some suburban areas,“It's a desert.…
