Descriptive Essay About A Party

Great Essays
According to the Google Dictionary, a party is “a social gathering of invited guests, typically involving eating, drinking, and entertainment.” People attend parties very often, but how many of them have actually been party planners? Being a party planner is not easy for anyone, especially for a young kid. I can still remember the first time I prepared a party for one of my best friends—seems like it happened yesterday.
Zhang was my 6th-grade classmate. After I graduated from my elementary school, some of my friends and I went to the same middle school to pursue our own dreams. Two months after graduation, everyone began new classes and a new life. I still remember my 6th-grade head teacher once saying, “Becoming your head teacher is a fate

I believed that my thoughts and emotions were all lost when they were opening their hearts. But that’s ok, they had negative emotions and feelings too. Even I thought whether the amount of times I cried that night was worth it. They did not need to know my hard work and grievance in the process of preparation; but I felt very pleased as long as they still had that hearts that could like before, talk and laugh together. We were still as good friends as before and we did not feel strange just because we were in different classes. That kind of feeling of reunion without strangeness made me happy, and I liked …show more content…
At the beginning, we all were restrained, playing games and chatting with friends on our phones. In order to alleviate this atmosphere, I sacrificed my own image and shouted at them, “Heyyyyyy!!! What are you guys doing? Go eat those cakes, Gooooo!” I didn’t know who told Zhang that I prepared the entire party, but Zhang was deeply touched. EN 281 Setting and characterization It was about 6 a.m. Saturday morning and it is an extremely beautiful morning; one of the mornings that makes you stop and realize just how amazing it is at that particular moment in the world. Everything from how nice the summer breeze felt on a freshly shaved face, how the cool water felt as it ran between the toes and bottom of your foot, the smell of fresh cut grass in air, the sounds, or lack of sound, that summer brings in when it is perfect outside. It is very quiet, the only sounds you can hear are the occasional birds chirping as they flew by, an occasional car driving by on the road behind you, a fish that surfaces time from time, the gentle sound of the water as the current brings it in and out,…

Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. Everything was superior, like most good things, though there were times where they weren’t, I was harassed by a bully almost everyday, my grades were getting inadequate, and my mom didn’t want me to be a sad, disconsolate 7th grader at a new junior high. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…

It was the end of third grade and all of my friends and I were talking about who we wanted as a teacher the next year. Everyone wanted Mrs. Graham or Mrs. Friend because they were considered the “nicer” teachers. I didn’t really care who I had as long as they didn’t yell very much because it always scared me when they did that. I was the kid who always got upset when I saw that the teachers were yelling or mad at someone. My mom had told me that she didn’t request any certain teacher for me to have so it was going to be a surprise the next year when I found out.…

Out of all difficult situations I personally encountered, nothing ever reached the insanity of my room's bedbug infestation in my junior year. Unfortunately, my family could not afford a bed bug exterminator. With a single mother who makes less than $30,000 a year and a brother in college, hiring an exterminator was a choice we could not afford. Consequently, our circumstances left us with one remaining option: annihilating the nightmares themselves. Ultimately, with the bedbugs originating in my room, it became my responsibility to eradicate them.…
