Descriptive Essay: A Trip To Airport

Improved Essays
When I walk into an airport the incessant trivial talk hits my ears as the passengers prepare for their journey. There – the sounds of excitement, anxiety, joy and distraction all mingle and become a blur; which becomes my focus. From what I have felt, sometimes a simple trip to the airport often reveals many different thoughts and feelings.
A sea of people scattered in the arrivals and departures with an ambivalent cloud above them. It’s the symphony of a moment to stand still and watch as the sea flows through you. There is a sense of ease in sitting back and observing these travelers pace around, trying to figure what their upbringings are, what their homes look like, or what sort of a mindset are they holding on to as boarding time approaches.

In a place packed with other travelers, chances are you might end up feeling you're the only one around. In some way the airport brings all together, indicating that we are not the only ones on this journey.
“You are not there to relax; you’re there to get out; you go there to leave.”
The pilot is in the plane, activating the flight computers and presenting the crew. The flight attendant’s smile and exchange of words with other passenger seem promising. It's quite a delight to sit back and let someone else take care of the travel for me.
Travel often brings people together in ways they wish they hadn't experienced.
Finding home, again.
From sad goodbye to warm hellos, departures and arrivals produce small bursts of fanfare. "Welcome Home" board signs awaits you in the arrivals.
When you “leave home” (whatever that looks like for you) to chase what really matters to you, there is no way your perspective can stay the same. I met people, saw things, and gained experiences I would never have if I’d stayed home. It is these experiences that stretched my understanding of the world and of myself and unlocked fresh ideas and opportunities for me. Like they say, ‘Live, travel, adventure, bless, and don't be sorry.’ Whether it be any occasion that you are leaving for – Airports are passageways to life's biggest

Imagine a plane thirty-six thousand feet in the air about to land in the city of Denver, Colorado. The plane circles the Denver International Airport and the passengers look down at the interestingly shaped runways as the plane is cleared to land. After the smooth landing, the passengers exit the plane to gather their luggage and go about their business in the city. Taking note of the artistic murals on the walls as they walk, passengers move along in a hurry to get where they are going, as they do in any international airport. As passengers leave the airport in their Ubers or taxis, they look out the window to see the big blue statue of a mustang just outside of the airport.…

The movement starts with a very mysterious tone with the instruments playing ascending and descending conjunct scales very quickly. Additionally, the instruments gradually layer on top of one another and then return to a single instrument over and over again to audibly depict the rising and falling of the waves. This layering and very strong sound can correlate to the sharp dark blue color of the waves in the woodblock print As the piece continues, the mood changes back and forth between mysterious, pleasant, and franticly distressed, which are different emotions that one can experience while at sea. These shifts in mood are sudden and random, just as the weather at sea often rapidly changes and causes those on ships, perhaps the ships in the woodblock artwork, to quickly change their attitudes towards being at sea. Around two minutes and ten seconds, higher pitched instrument take over and evoke a very airy feel that can be related to the wind swirling around.…
