With any organization, the employees must know what the company does and what they hope to do in the future. Employees would then know their purpose within the organization and would be able to understand how their work contributes to the success of the company. In the case of Atlas, the employees should know that Atlas’ goal is to increase its collection of past due bills, because they want to increase profitability. Once employees possess this knowledge, then they know how important their job is and will work towards accomplishing Atlas’ goal. Being able to persuade others to agree to something you are selling or perusing is an excellent life skill to have, if not more important in business. With the role of Accounts Receivable clerks, one must be able to persuade the clients to pay balances in a timely manner and they cannot be lenient with the clients otherwise profitability will continue to drop. Since the accounts already are not paying on time, they do not regard Atlas enough to pay them on time. By being skilled in persuasion, the clerks can persuade the clients to pay on time and convey the importance to convince them how important their business is to Atlas. This would change the attitude of the client and they would be persuaded to take regard Atlas as more serious then they had viewed them as. Both oral communication and persuasion skills will help facilitate success in this role within
