Guy Montag is a fireman who job is to burn books. He is the protagonist of Fahrenheit 451. After a series of event, Guy realizes his life is meaningless. So he tries to find answers in the books that he supposed to destroy.
Mildred Montag is the wife of Guy Montag( the protagonist). She is a sickly, brittle looking woman who sits around watching television. She doesn't want talk to her husband about her feelings. Guy is a person that Mildred doesn't understand, nor does she attempt to understand him. In the story, Mildred tries to attempt a suicide, so this reveals she has pain but just doesn't want to meant she does.
