The infield is pure with light brown dirt, which I dig my feet into to get a grip before I advance to the next base. First base is white, and stands out being around the dirt. The dirt neighboring second base on the baseline, is non-apparent. Instead there lays, the rock foundation that bakes in the sun. This area was always complained about by most of the kids because of the cuts and scratches you would receive by sliding on it. When playing infield, the dirt was flawless, assuring no bad hops.
