Two Main Mootivators For Being Active

1. Describe your two main motivators for being active. Refer to page 7. Doing physical activity in an organized environment helps me meet knew people which is a lot of fun. It is my main motivation because I’d rather work out with friends than on my own. For example, at my boxing gym, when I joined the “team” I knew no one and now we are all one big family who pushes each other to do the best we can when it comes to boxing and physical activity, but also when it comes to everyday things such as school and work. Secondly, another reason to be active is the fact that physical activity helps me improve my sports related skills. To explain, when doing exercise it is easy to target specific muscles. 2. What component(s) of fitness do you need to improve?

My components of fitness that need improvement are my muscular strength and my cardiovascular endurance.

3. Which component (s) of fitness do you consider your strength? Why do you think that they are your strengths?

My components of fitness that I consider my strength are my muscular endurance and my flexibility. I know those are my strengths. First of all, my flexibility was a necessity when I was competing in track and field. The 100 meter hurdles was my main event so a great flexibility was needed to get my lead lead over the hurdle as straight as possible. Also, my trail leg had to clear the huddle without the slightest contact. Therefore, I would constantly stretch to improve my flexibility and I still do. When it comes to my muscular endurance, I use to box more frequently than I do now. Consequently, I was in excellent shape and my muscles were quite toned and strong. By reducing the time I spend boxing, my muscular endurance decrease, however, after the physical testing, I see that I still have an excellent muscular
