I was born in San Diego, California, into a big family. I have three sisters and two brothers, I am the third oldest in my family. My mother and father are immigrants from Somalia. My parents came to America for a better life for them and their children. One of the reasons my parents came to the U.S they were leaving the war in Somalia. When they first came they both went to community college but had to drop out because they had to get jobs and making a living for their family. My older brother and sister are attending community college, they both didn’t have the chance to go to a university, I want to be able to attend a university.

The internships they provide to the students something not a lot of school have. When I first started my internships I was placed in Physical Therapy, I would help patients go back to their regular routine after they had surgury. When I was done interning there, I thought I want to be a Physical Therapist, but wasn’t sure. I felt like I wasn’t showing what my true talent were. Thinking of what my talents were I couldn’t think of one. After That I was a intern at infant and mother care in the hospital, there I help the nurse situate the mother and also the infant. I had so much fun there, I loved seeing new baby born. From then I felt like I wanted to become a OB/GYN, but wasn’t sure. Then after talking to my family I found out that I am every good at working with children, mostly because I have three younger siblings.
