Describe The Retreat Analysis

Decent Essays
1. 3 words to describe the retreat
Learning experience, helpful and necessary
2. What worked for you about the facilitation of the retreat?
Having an open space where we could talk about the organization and what needs to be changed. The group discussions, individual meditations, charts and guidance were all very helpful.
3. What didn't work for you about the facilitation of the retreat, and what changes would you make to address those challenges?
All the facilitation was great, I would just add a couple more of scheduled breaks (10-15 min) or any other fun/ distracting activity (games, exercises, etc.). It can get very tiring sitting and discussing for so long in a room and people tend to lose focus and concentration.
4. What was your favorite

With such a deep and sincere love of the historical value of the Bulow Plantation, the state park rangers want to share the vast history that once occurred on the 2,200 acres of cleared land owned by the Bulow family. There are several ways the state park rangers promote the land so that as many people can enjoy it as possible. One of the ways they advertise is by attracting active outdoor people to go on the many hiking trails and bicycling trails or for the water lovers to drop a small powerboat at the drop off or canoe and/or kayak through the various channels of water. When traveling these routes they say you have the possibility of seeing Bald eagles, Swallow-tailed Kites, and Florida Manatees. Bulow attracts others by providing some handicap…

I noticed how her motivation grew and how she was ambitious in her goal setting. It was inspiring for me to see how I was helping someone towards their vision simply by listening to them and asking questions about their goals. The only thing I disliked about this process was that it felt very rushed. I felt sometimes as if we were rushing through the session just to set three goals instead and ending up settling on certain goals or tweaking the goals from a previous week. I think our coaching experience could have been more effective if we would have spent more time delving further into the client’s vision to set even better goals that would help her reach her…

Maximizing myself during study time is something I had never honestly spent time working towards. Attending the 2016 Health and Wellness Fair in Perris California was truly enlightening and I walked away with much information. When I arrived at the fair, we got to meet professionals in their field of health and see quite a few informational booths with interesting concepts and resources to help the community. Some were very creative and well done. One of them was West Coast University who had this little x-ray booth, where you could grab a stuffed bear, name it, and take the bear to get x rayed. They stated that they wanted to show kids that it wasn’t scary to go get an x-ray, and to not be afraid of the doctors.…

Overall, I was extremely happy with the effort my group put into this project. In terms of attending the group meetings, everyone was present and participated in the discussion. The first meeting took place on a Sunday afternoon at Baruch and the second meeting took place on a weeknight in the form of a Google Hangout. The times and places of these meetings alone displayed every group members’ commitment to the project, effort to accommodate for scheduling conflicts, and effort to ensure they are contributing their fair share to the group regardless the time or day of the week. At these meetings, we discussed ways to engage the crowd and critiqued each other’s slides and presentations.…
