Describe The Relationship Between Carne And Buster's

Improved Essays
Catherine is a very sweet third grader from Bluffton Elementary. She comes from what seems to be a very loving and caring home. She is the daughter of the owners of Bluffton’s local Mexican restaurant. She loves soccer and her favorite color is blue. Her favorite book to read is called Dogmom, and her favorite place to go is Dave and Buster’s. Outside of school, she takes karate classes that she greatly dislikes. Catherine is fairly new to the Bluffton community. Beforehand, she attended a private school in Findlay where she took ESL classes. She is a bilingual student and can fluently speak both English and Spanish. When asked what language is primarily spoken at home, she said it was mostly Spanish. Catherine has mastered the short vowel sounds. She has a habit of reading unknown words as words that she is familiar with, and that are visually similar to the unknown word. For example, in one of the AIMS Web passages, she read the word “boat” as “bottle”. Catherine is also very consistent on attempting to read every word she comes in contact with in a passage instead of skipping over it or not giving any effort to try to read the word. The running records passage given to her included words from the Spanish decent, like “Juanita” and “Lopez”. She was able to correctly read these words. …show more content…
The spelling inventories from both times given suggest that Catherine needs instruction on the common long vowel patterns. She is falling in between the early and middle within word pattern spelling stage, and it is critical for her to grasp the knowledge of long vowel patterns for her reading to improve. It seems that she has difficult reading words with various affixes on them, and chooses to guess a word that starts with the same letter as the word read instead of trying to sound out the unknown

example of Catherine’s desire to be loved is implicitly implied through her seeing danger in every corner of the court because she believed that she is disposable because she is feeling unloved in a foreign place with rules and dangers that are unknown to her. Chomsky uses the insecurity that Catherine may have felt upon her first arrival in Russia to portray her as a feeble girl who needs to be loved in a potentially dangerous and hostile world. Chomsky uses small portions of the primary sources to show Catherine as a weak ruler who is constantly seeking love through her many lovers throughout the film. Chomsky shows her as a female ruler who needs support from strong masculine personalities such as her lovers and the Grand Chancellor and Vice Chancellor. These men, whom she typically has a love for in either a romantic way or fatherly way, play a large role in her decision-making throughout the film.…

The reading case that I will be using for this artifact showcases my capability to make wise decisions about what should be taught and how it should be taught, according to the educational needs of a student. By participating in this case study, I recognized and evaluated the needs of one particular student, in tier II of the RTI process, who was falling behind and not meeting the educational goals set for Kindergarteners in the State of Georgia.
