Describe The Relationship Between Carl And His Family

Carl is a young boy is growing up in the projects of New York City, but it is a cover up. His dad is a part of the Italian Mafia, one of the most dangerous and well known gangs of all time. That is their families biggest secret, and they must live like poor people so no one gets suspicious of the boys father. He lives in a family of him, his younger brother, and his mom and dad. Since his dad is part of the Mob, he is rarely home, this is discouraging to the family but they know that it must be this way.
As the boy gets older, his father decides to let him in on some secrets. He takes his son out on some of his operations with the gang, and teaches his son what it's all about. Carl delves into spiritualism since he feels he has nowhere else to turn to. some of Carl's teachers even invite him into a secret satanic meeting, since they were into the same things as Carl was. One night, a red demon appeared in front of Carl while he was in bed, he tried to run away, but he could not move. The demonic face told Carl that he would devote his life to him, (the devil)but Carl refused and started to pray to God, for he couldn't think of anything else to do. Immediately, the face was gone, and Carl could move again. This started a lifelong journey for Carl, one with God
